Immanuel Lutheran Church

Our Church Council:

As a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church is: We are forgiven sinners, following in the footsteps of our Savior.  Our mission statement describes the essence of what we’re here to do, providing direction and purpose to our activities.

For over 125 years, God has been at the center of the life of Immanuel with His Word being proclaimed and his sacraments being administered.  He is the one who has called us together to abide in Him, to be His body of believers here and now:  growing closer together, serving one another, and seeking those who are lost.  We are called to be a true family, experiencing life together.  We aren’t just called to worship on Sunday morning, but we become a close-knit family as we study Scripture and pray with one another, where we have friends to confide in, shoulders to cry on, and people to laugh with as we all journey through this life.   At the same time, we are fully aware that while Christ has remained faithful to us, the world has moved farther away from Him.  This breaks God’s heart.  Now is the time to put our faith into action, following in the footsteps of our Savior! Now is the time for this family of God to reach out to those who do not know the love of Christ, caring for the people that He misses the most.  As long as there are hurting people separated from the love of God, we have work to do.  This cannot wait!  We must be strengthened by Christ himself to become like Him: to share the gospel message, to love those who are not loved, to care for those who nobody cares for, and to give sacrificially of ourselves for our neighbor.  In doing so, the world will see what God can do through us, and become a part of His amazing kingdom….bringing glory to God and pleasing Him!
